Im going to make this official and I am going to do this early;

From the start of the 2008 season to the end I will be filming and documenting everyones riding. No specified locations or dates, just whenever and where ever shit goes down I will try to be there, getting it on film. No specified riders either.
I would really like to take filming higher than just pointing the camera so I will be trying my best to make this film the greatest it can be.

Racing will be a tough one to document but I will see what I can do.
I havn't yet decided whether I will be in it or just focus on filming entirely but time will tell.

No footage from any filming during the season will be edited or shown until the trailor and feature film are shown.

If anyone wants to do private filming sessons during the season gimmie a shout and we will hook it up.

Anyway, I will be updating from time to time as I go on...I was trying to do this last season but it didn't work out, this season im starting early.

I am going to try and get my hands on a simple dolly and either make or buy a small (maybe 8ft) crane to get the shots I desire.
A camera would be the most logical thing to upgrade first but that is way out of the question so what I have will do just fine for this coming season.

If anyone is out of the Durham area and has a great place they like to ride, post it up and I will try to get out during the summer and shoot some film from different areas.

The filming for this will be very "move with the rider" like. Take a look at Stoked on Being Pumped, and Odyssey's Electronical teaser, this is very much the same of what I would like to do filming wise. The camera will rarely be stationary on a tripod (only for "fly by shots" where the rider is traveling at a high speed, possibly into a corner or something like this). Alot of the camera work will be;

For street - Setting up multiple hits in one line, like the bmx video's do it, and following the rider along as they do each stunt. (this will either be done with someone riding and filming along side, or someone on roller blades. For "one trick" areas where just one line is possible the camera will move either from top to bottom, side to side etc/visaversa...(so if someone is 3'ing a stair set the camera will follow them from the top of the set moving back and down the stairs.

Downhill/Freeride - Much of this will be fly by and far away following shots that will focus on the speed of the rider and the size of the jump/gap/drop they are hitting. Hopefully I can get some on board shots aswell. Through corners camera's will focus on the amount of pressure the corner is put on while the rider is ripping through.

Dirt Jump - Dirt jumping will consist of both of the above combined. Creating moving shots will be difficult because we will be on dirt but I'll figure it out.

I would also like to capture the life ­style­ of riding rather than just setting up scenes of riding with music. So small interviews will be set up with featured riders with predetermined questions to show the true emotion and passion of the life ­style­ we live.

Ok so this didn't happen. No equipment and time did not seem to be on my side.

I would love to say lets actually do this up next season but who knows, I will keep an open mind, and possibly an open wallet so I can get some better equipment.
