everybody says short stem i say long, cause i like to learn a bit of trials and the ­frame­ is short for me but i'll put a short stem on the 09 saint bike i'll build oops did i said 09 saint bike

stem- 70mm right in between for a do-it-all build
on my dh rig my bars are around 26", but on my street they are about 22", so if u want it for dh and dj, then i thing somewhere around 24-25" would be good
and i think i would like it to go towards heavyer yet bomb proof!
