Hi everyone, it's been a while, not sure if anyone remembers me. Anyways, I wanted to ask everyone to help save the Tim DaSilva BMX Track. If you don;t know the story, it's a really touching one:
Tim DaSilva died in a tragic accident while building his dream; a place for children, youth and their families to enjoy exercise, companionship and the spirit of competition: a BMX track. His family has taken solace in the fact that his dream had become a reality and a unique amateur sports facility that anyone from across the GTA and beyond could enjoy. Unfortunately the proper permit hadn’t been procured before he began building on the private land. Now the Niagara Escarpment Commission (NEC) is forcing the family to flatten their son’s dream in 49 days or the owner of the private land will face stiff penalties.

Hopefully they can get the permits in place.
IMO The NEC is being far too strict here, its a figgin BMX track not an open pit mine or a housing development.

i made some calls to the media today, if i'm not mistaking the Sun will do a story and SunTV will interview Jessica live friday between 5.30 and 6 PM channel 15 be sure to watch

I'm very dissapointed to see that NEC cant even support a track that is helping kids get out and excercise, I thinks its a load of bull crap that they are going to try to flatten this track after all the time and effort was put into this, my support is to the family and the land owner to try to stop the NEC from doing this, very unacceptable in my opinion.
