The owner of momentum cycle, Barrie, was riding a skatepark today when he was confronted by a skater, he was told that bikers are "fags". Ignoring the skaters gesture they kept taunting him and his friends until it exploded into a fight. Little did he know he found himself taking on 15 skateboarders while his friends sat back and watched. Great friends eh? He said "I wasn't so much fighting as I was just protecting myself". He was clearly out numbered. There are a few things to be learnt here.

a) Repect those around you at a skatepark, bikes in generall are not a bad thing in a skatepark, its the people that ride them and the attitude they put forth.

b) Have your friends back no matter what they get themselves into! In no way should his friends have sat back and watched him get beat down.

If everyone could get along at a skatepark, we would all be at peace. Take in mind, the skateboarders do not make an effort t change they're attitude and they cause the trouble, but the bikers come out as the bad ones. Is this fair?

this always happens at skatepark but doesnt always escilate like it did there. I think both groups can be at fualt. The other day when i was at the park skaters started hassling us and it easly could have got out of hand. At that point you just need to walk away. But one person we were with (no names) didnt and they yelled skater fag and flashed his knife to them. That kind of stuff does nothing and is completely retarded. I personally had to go over to the skaters and aplogize on behalf of this guy and the rest of the bikers in the park.
I think nothing can come of these until both sides react. Poeple need to be able to srug off a bad comment and continue riding. But both skaters and bikers need to learn to except each other. Thats my story/rant

ya ive been at a skate park were the skaters were only like 8 but they tried to start shit and im not sher if its just an ego thing that some skaters have or if bikers rilly just piss them off but with some older guys u give em respect and they wont kick the shit out of you.

Is it me or does it seem that all skaters have a stick up their ass...I think it is that listening to music, with your head down, just pushing the ground with an all black hoody and pants that you could crush a rat with they are so tight.

Anyway, that sucks...i do not see the problem between us if we just mind our own business and ride the park.

well with me, im at my skate park biking alot, and there are usualy some other bikers there at the same time. the problem with my skate park is that there is always jut one or 2 bikers, sometimes even little kids there with there parents that poach the skaters lines and just cut them off with out knowing any better, and because of those one or 2 kids that do that, no bikers are welcome in our skate park because the second they see you on a bike, they asume thats what you going to do "cut them off"
