This was by far the toughest course I have raced. I fell three times during my race run. Twice in couch's corner and once in the dump (almost landed in the stream). I watch the JrX and Elites do their reserved practice runs and I could not believe how fast those guys can pin it through the dump!!!

Saw tons of HUGE crashes over the weekend. Good turnout for the Ubike boys.

Yes that was a great weekend. i think every 1 i saw had atleast 1 dramatic crash! i had 2 pretty bad ones that took me a while to get up from... i was pretty bumbed out about my race... got cought up in couches corner. it was a really good course and a great weekend!

Yeh it seemed everyone had a good run but at the same time messed up.

I fell twice and my chain fell off on the last bit, seemed like in my race run the bike was riding me so i was kind of all over the place.

I loved that course though, so technical and tough!

I messed up my hand falling coming out of couches corner and fell several times coming into the dump. Near the bottom I also went OTB because I wasn't paying attention and just smoked this one big rock. I have to say the race course was really fun, really rocky and I can't wait to actually race on it next year.

You will not need to wait until next year as the O-Cup provincials are held at Camp Fortune on Sept 13 and 14th. Exact course unknown, but it will have either the Dump or Couch's corner - hopefully both.

I'm working on attaching plate numbers on mine. I have over 700 photos to go through, so it may take a day or 2

I was very surprised by the poor FQSC showing. Organizers were hoping to see allot more Q Sport / Expert riders out especially when the FQSC promoted and endorsed the race on their website (also, there were no conflicts with other local races). I hope the poor showing does not impact on Pete's plans for a combined O-Cup vs. Q-Cup show down next year. You're right, it is nice to see a real DH course on the O-Cup and it is worth the 4+ hours drive from TO.

The Ontario boys did REAL well, especially when you consider the total lack of terrain in Ontario. I would like to see how the overall quality of our Ontario racers would increase if we had a Camp Fortune and a Bromont within an hour drive from Toronto. Blue offers some elevation, but runs have been so sanitize for the public rider, it does not compare to PQ runs.
