At Eurobike sram released their product line for the new 2009 Boxxer world cup. link--------> http://www.dirtmag.co.uk/news/category/products/exclusive-new-09-boxxer-pics/dirt-1231879.htmlThe new Boxxers look amazing and are completly redesigned for the 09 season! The world cup model features adjustments such as.... High/Low speed compression featuring the new mission control dampening, Air volume adjust, 35mm stantions, mission control beginning and end stroke rebound, and the new maxle lite DH for an additional 28grams weight savings. The new Boxxer is also set at a claimed 6.0 pounds making this the new lightest DH specific fork on the mountain. My thoughts on the new Boxxers are simply "a change for the better" I cant wait to put this new fork on my bike for next season! I think it will track better and fill in the harsh holes much better then before. The adjustablity is gonna be something new and may take some time to really dial it in.... but once that happens im sure it will really live up to it's expectations.

I know it says 09 there, but I'm pretty sure those are the 2010. The 09's were released already, such as the Red Boxxer World Cup, if I'm not mistaken.

no no no no, im afriad you ARE mistaken. If you read the eurobike article it says available early 09.... not to mention on pinkbike there was a write up also confirming an early release date of 2009. Look at the fork it looks pretty production to me. There also everywhere now.... ive seen a handfull of just whistler local rippers who are on them and dont even race WC.

I stand corrected. On Dropmachine, it says 2010. Not like it's a bad thing to get a sick fork a year earlier! Wonder what the retail damage is going to be, as well as how they hold up.

I'm sure they won't be cheap. They weren't this year and will probably go up next year.
As for holding up, Boxxers are race forks and if abused with a full race season (anywhere but Ontario) they will need loads of work. Same with the fox 40. I heard the 888 hold up if you aren't worried about weight.
This season alone, I've done new lowers, new stanchion, new crown, new air catridge, seals, rebound and bushings. Expense sport.... "addictive as crack, twice the price"

Thought I'd give a heads up to the thread. It's IS a 2010. They're releasing them early, but aren't going to offer them to companies, as they'll have very few on the market. The red boxxer I earlier mentioned is the team, and it's the 09. Though it's VERY early, the 09's are still traditional, and will be made for some time longer, until the 2010 pushes them out of the scene.
