The D2 is definatly a good bike, but i personally would not like it for barspinning.

Check out that, something from Brodie, the Rocky Mountain flow series, a Kona Scrap, or even Cowan...the list could go on.

Again, just frames...well, the Dobe's at least. Mobs ive heard are amazing, they are quite popular.

Personally i think dobermans are overrated and hyped up like Deity was (though a quality bike/part)

Specialized is always nice... but if u want light and strong get a 243 SL... and just build it up with lighter things.. like argyle fork... WELDED singletracks.. and get the grey camo version... and get some stylo cranks... and the I Beam seats... and stuff like that.. u can get a pretty light bike.

Blk Mrkt Riot and Mob are an amazing frame for it's price. Or look into Fire Eye Bikes. There coming out with some really cool good shit. I've ridden a couple and my friend bought one and there pretty nice. It would definately be the more original root to go, but i think you should really look into them, it'll fit your price range to i think.

Buying used is your best bet. Look around on Dropmachine and Pinkbike Buy&Sell sections to see what you can find.
