Awesome idea.

If road derailleur/ cassettes are the word & Shimano is being silly then why not go exotic with some nice campy stuff? I heard someone weighed the 'record' rear derailleur and it was -430 grams
Also you might have to go 10sp... I dont think it would work with the front ring. but if it did it would be cinda cool.

for the tires stem and bars im with matt, the kenda small block 8's are the best, just ordered my self some, thomson is great, and maybe easton EA 70 or EA 50. but i think that we should go with 34T, and 8 spd, with some type of road cassette for extra speed.

i really haven't used them, ive only rode a bike around the shop with them on, they felt like a really solid and powerfull break, but again, i havent had a real ride with them

strokers are an amazing brake i have the trails on my dirtjump bike. they have good modulation compared to there older brakes. they have more power than my mags. the lever feels very confortable i would totally suggest u get this brake

i'd pass on the hayes brakes i have never liked them, juicy 7s or ultimates would be your best bet in my opinion, for pedals the new staccato 8s looked really sick.

According to the guys at Cycle Solutions the ­frame­ might come tomorrow, i'm also toying with the idea of a LYRIK TWO STEP.

Brakes: juicy ultimates
headset: can never go wrong with a chris king
derailleur: x.o
cassette: possible a road ...
pedals: syncros
saddle: gotta go with the granny cruiser seat with the dual spring action !!!
