Shimano LX hyrdo problem 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 11
Ive had a set of LX calipers for over a year now, I used one as a front last year for a little bit, but otherwise they are new. Finally about a week ago I bought LX levers from jenson on discount.

I blead them both up, well. Rear is great and front feels amazing, at first. But here is the problem. The front will lock up for an instant, with little lever pull but than it will give out, and the lever will hit the bars, and the brake will loose the lock.

It is not air, because I reblead it twice. Im thinking maybe a problem in the piston that happened last year?

Any input

well ive broke a few breaks in the past year... so i tried to leanr as much about hydros as i could... and from what i know, if you are 100% sure there is not an air bubble in the line, then thats the only thing left that i know of that would be a problem (pistion, caliper, puncture)

Even if there was say a good air bubble stuck in the line, that would just make the actual braking of the lever terrible no? Whats happening here is it is good, than gives out and pulls to the handlebars.

I dunno though, I may bring her into cycle solutions and see what they think just to be sure.
