e.thirteen components is proud to announce the acquisition
of Montara Design’s Heim product line and supporting IP portfolio. The
addition of the Heim offerings helps to diversify the already strong e.thirteen
product line.
Dave Weagle, president of e.thirteen had this to say,
“We’re thrilled to bring the 3-Guide and Jon’s other designs
into the e.thirteen family. We’ve long recognized the quality and
performance of the Heim product, and its unique position in the marketplace.
The timing to bring a more Cross Country and All-Mountain lightweight product
into our line is perfect, and we’re excited to develop new designs that
fall within the scope of the Heim patent portfolio. We are dedicated and able
to carry on Heim’s tradition of quality, USA based manufacturing, and customer
service. The fit is just perfect for us, we couldn’t be more
excited!”
Jon Heim, founder of Montara MTB and designer of the 3-Guide
added, “I could not be more stoked than to be working with Dave Weagle
and the legendary e.thirteen components! They are well known innovators and
fellow bike geeks. This is a true win-win situation – it frees me
up to work on other projects and go in some new directions, and expands
e.thirteen’s product line. They will be able to put a real sales and
marketing effort behind the products, something I’ve never been able to
do. It also gives them the intellectual property to expand their product
lines.”
New designs incorporating e.thirteen’s Heim patent are
planned to be released in the coming weeks. A sneak peek of the upcoming first
offering, the lightweight 99 gram 3RS (3 Ring Security) is being released
today.
