The final Cycle Solutions O-Cup 4x race of the
season, as well as the 4x Provincials took place two week ago at Track
2000 in Milton. Unlike those 4x races earlier this summer, there
wasnt a drop of rain in site. It was a hot, muggy day for the racers this
weekend. Although attendance seemed sparse, there was no lack of enthusiam
and racers were ready to rock and roll despite the heat and the extended
course.
There was a good showing of both minime
and cadet classes. Matt Gillies represented in the Cadet category, while
Elliot Watson gave it his all in the Minime class. Junior sport
saw Stephen Tossmann and Matt Berenz sweatin it out. Even possible future
UBiketv rider, Jacob, was right there with the rest of them, tagging up with
Elliot in the minime division.
A little bending of the rules went a long way
in the qualifying races on Saturday. Six riders competed for a chance at
the finals in the Junior Sport Division, while some racers, {ie Rob Fraser} were
included in more advanced categories. Rob was certainly up for the
challenge and almost made it look easy by placing 2nd in the elite class.
Of course, as always, we never forget to
celebrate and acknowledge those UBiketv Racers that have earned the
bragging rites to podium fame. This event saw 3 riders in podium
spots. Congrats to Stephen for a 3rd place medal in the junior sport
division at this last 4x race of the season. Cudos go out
to Elliot Watson for a silver medal, and Matt Berenz for a bronze
medal in the Provincials, showing that consistent effort can
certainly pay off.
Thanks to Ryan Griffin for coming out,
even though he wasnt able to race, to support his team members and take a few
pics as well.
Are u guys noticing
trends???........YES.......UBiketv riders are HERE.......and making
noise.
Keep up the awesome riding, and continue
to show support and encouragement to each other!
Thanks to all the UBiketv sponsors, and
to Juan, for keeping it all together.
